Join us for a really fun and interesting day of playing hide and seek with local raptors (birds of prey.) For this field trip, we will drive vehicles and stop at spots along N. Bank Rd and back roads leading to Ford’s Pond.

Liz Gayner, wildlife biologist and raptor expert, will be leading this trip. Don’t worry if you don’t have binoculars or a spotting scope.  We have loaner binoculars for anyone who wants them.  No registration is necessary.

Meet: 8:30 am at the BLM parking lot (777 NW Garden Valley Blvd, Roseburg).

Trip Difficulty: Activity level will involve getting in and out of cars, standing or birding from vehicles.

Parking:  Most stops will involve dirt or graveled pullouts.  Some pullouts and the BLM parking lots are wide enough to accommodate wheelchair vans.

Facilities:  ADA wheelchair accessible vault restrooms are available at both the East and West Entrances of the North Bank Habitat parking lots.  

Cell phone service is not available on much of N. Bank Rd.
