About
Meet: Saturday, October 12th, 7:45 am at Ford’s Pond parking lot (382 Church Road, Sutherlin). From I-5 take exit 136, drive west on Hwy 138 and at 1 mile, turn left onto Church Road (Note: GPS may not be dependable).
The walk will be approximately 2 hours long. Participants can leave when they need to.
Additional Info: People new to birding are always welcome to join in, as are families with children. Loaner binoculars are available for adults and children. We will have local volunteer birders in attendance, but we also encourage the group to help spot and ID birds. We walk at a slow pace, stopping often to observe birds.
**Accessibility and Trail Conditions: With the ADA accessible pathway completed and open, we have returned to walking on the south side of Ford’s Pond where it is more “birdy”. This also gives us access to Woodruff Pond that often has unique species. The ADA restrooms are open at the Church Road parking lot.
