Welcome to the Historic John Rast House Experience

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the house was built in 1872 by John George Rast, remaining in the same family for 147 years.

Step back in time in this nicely period-furnished home. Tour the small museum upstairs, which holds different artifacts that were found on the property, some dateing back to late 1800's. The museum also contains photos of the family, as well as documentation about the brewery and the grist mill that John Rast had ownership in.

This property boasts beautifully decorated rooms, unique architecture, and fascinating furnishings.

We have three rooms upstairs in main house. The boiler room adjacent to the outdoor "original bathroom" on the lower level is occupied by the owners. Best of all, you’ll be staying at the home of someone who spent most of their lives in Oregon. We can offer suggestions of things to see and do while visiting in Oregon. Great renovated historic home right near downtown Roseburg- super convenient location that is close to a lot of things. Large clean rooms, lots of space, on-site parking, and a great host. The road near the house is pretty busy but the the convenience of the location makes up for that well. Would stay here again.
