Summer in Douglas County will look a bit more normal this year as favorite annual events are making their comeback. Save these dates, book your trip to Roseburg and experience the region's most beloved season filled with smiles, sips, snacks and sunshine. 

 

Summer Arts Festival

The 52nd Annual Summer Arts Festival will once again fill the lush lawn of Fir Grove Park with a large variety of local art and craft vendors. The festival typically brings in more than 120 vendors and also offers a Kids Zone, music, entertainment, and a food court. Days and hours are June 25, 12 to 9 p.m.; June 26, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; June 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event is put on by Umpqua Valley Arts which is located at 1624 W Harvard Avenue in Roseburg. Music on the Half Shell

This annual outdoor concert series in its 30th year is a summer favorite for locals. The free event takes place at the gorgeous Nichols Bandshell at Roseburg’s Stewart Park and fills the evening skies with a variety of great music. The series will kick off July 6. The music lineup for 2021 will be announced June 11 at halfshell.org

Graffiti Weekend

This nationally treasured event for classic car enthusiasts will be taking place July 7 to 11. While typically each day of the festival is packed with multiple events in multiple locations throughout the Roseburg area including Roseburg’s River Forks Park and downtown, the committee is still in the final planning stages of getting the schedule and locations secured. Growing Miracles Lavender Festival & Farm Tour

This free event brings guests up close and personal to a large operating lavender farm and all the beauty it offers. The festival will take place July 9 and 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and July 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will include tours of the farm, lavender u-pick, essential oil distillation demonstrations, lavender debudding demonstrations, lavender wreaths and wands, as well as local vendor booths, food, music, and activities. It is hosted by Growing Miracles Lavender Garden located at 508 Lower Garden Valley Road in Roseburg. More information on their Facebook event page.

Douglas County Fair

Cotton candy and hot dogs will fill the air again at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Roseburg August 4 through August 7 as the Douglas County Fair returns. The event is set to include the carnival, favorite fair food and vendors, open class exhibits, a new Garden Park Entertainment Stage, and 4-H and FFA events. Sutherlin Blackberry Festival

North of Roseburg in downtown Sutherlin, the annual Blackberry Festival is your classic, small-town fest with great food, parades, classic cars, music, activities and more. The festival will take place August 20 to 22. Visit their Facebook page for more information.
