Outpost Cafe

ECEC offers fun for the entire family in beautiful Elkton, Oregon. Our 30-acre site features a butterfly pavilion, historic trading fort, extensive flower gardens, native plant park & nursery. Enjoy guided tours, local crafts and an onsite café in the summer months. Our library, art exhibits, and walking trails are open year-round. Take a drive down Scenic Byway 38 along the banks of the Umpqua River for an outing you’ll never forget!

The Outpost Cafe is an important part of our Youth Employment Program. High school students run the cafe, learning important job skills while providing cheerful customer service. The menu features delicious fresh from the garden sandwiches & snacks, coffee concoctions, smoothies, and baked goods. Prices are reasonable so you can afford lunch for your entire family, or an afternoon treat.

The cafe is typically open on Memorial Day & Labor Day weekends, and during the summer when school is out. Hours are Tuesday thru Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.  to 4 p.m. Kids eat free 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. thanks to the Summer Food Service Program.
